darkangel_0410So, a friend of mine recently came out to his parents and it did not go well. I feel really bad because not only does it suck hardcore, but because when I came out to my mom, it went like this....
Me: Hey, mom?
Mom: What?
Me: I like girls.
Mom: Oh, yeah? I thought you had a boyfriend last week?
Me: Well, yeah, I still like boys.
Mom: So you like boys?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: And girls?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: Isn't that a little greedy?
Me: I guess? I never thought of it that way, though.
Mom: I'm not really surprised -you always had to have any cookie you saw when you were little.
My mom, guys. We don't really get along -for a lot of reasons, but none them have ever been because she's intolerant. I guess I just don't get,how you can you can deny someone the right to be themselves -especially if it's someone you supposedly love.
