when you feel my heat, look into my eyes.

Ok, so I'm mostly just posting this because candy_belle is a horrible enabler and asked me to, lol.
It's set in my Wolves of Chicago 'verse wherein all of my favorite Blackhawks are werewolves. This drabble takes place before the main timeline, when Shawzy and Crow were still in the Icehogs (Chicago's farms league); Shawzy/Crow friendship, pg. Enjoy!
They hang out sometimes.
Not constantly- despite being the only wolves on the Icehogs, Shaw knows they'd drive each other crazy if they spent everyday together. He likes being surrounded by people most of the time, even if none of them are pack. And Corey likes it quieter, especially on game days.
But, sometimes, he'll show up at Corey's place and Corey will let him in without asking him why he's there, and they'll watch a movie and get some food; it soothes his wolf to know he's not alone, even if Corey's not pack and neither one of them are sure what's going to happen any time soon.
And on full moon nights, they'll crash at Shaw's apartment and after they change, they'll rough house and play fight, trash the place enough that Shaw's pretty sure he can kiss his deposit goodbye.
They can't go hunting because there's no woods nearby and it bothers his wolf, some; sometimes Corey will look out the window mournfully and whine a little, but neither one of them will even attempt to get outside. They've been trained since they were cubs to keep the secret and even away from their respective Alphas it's a lesson they remember well.
But, still, it's nice, having Corey there. They're not pack yet, but Shaw thinks someday they might be.
