I love this video, for so many reasons; least of all because Patrick kick ass on this mash up. And the way he glances at Pete through the whole thing, those smiles, the way Pete has his hands all over Patrick almost constantly. I just don't get how anyone can watch a video like this and not see the love and affection they have for each other.
And it's a battered old suitcase to a hotel someplace, and a wound that will never heal. No prima donna, the perfume is on an old shirt that is stained with blood and whiskey. It's no secret that I love covers; it's also no secret that I love Patrick's voice. Therefore, Patrick doing a cover equals me in my happy place.
But this is....fucken amazing. Patrick knows Bowie, the way I know Fall Out Boy; every line, every note, every breath they take while singing. I think we all know what a huge Bowie fan he is, but this just cinches it in my mind. Look how happy he is to be playing and singing one of his favorite songs.
